
Dehnasar Trek, also known as Dynasaur or Dehnasaur or Dyna Trek, is one of the highest treks in Himachal Pradesh from Kullu and Kangra. It is located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. From there the view of Lugvallley, Barot Valley and Mandi can be easily seen. There are many other small lakes and treks and ways from Lugvalley to the Dehnasar which will captivate your soul.
Geographical Perspectives
Dehnasar Trek is one of the highest altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh, which is situated at an altitude of about 4280 m (14040 ft). It is near Lugvalley in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Situated at the same height as the trek above sea level, there is a lake called Dyna Lake which is formed by glacier water in the rocks on top of the mountains. Dehnasar lake is also one of the highest lakes in Himachal Pradesh.

Spiritaul Significance
Dehnasar Lake (Dyna lake) is one of the sacred lakes in Himachal Pradesh. This lake has spiritual significance for the people of the surrounding valleys. On 20 Bhado (20th of Bhadrapada), people from the surrounding valleys are coming to take a holy dip. ’20 Bhado’ takes place in the last week of August or the first week of September. A large number of people come there on that particular day.
NOTE: Tobacco, leather and other types of things that harm nature and spiritual beliefs are not allowed there.
How to reach Dehnasar
Via Lug valley: Firstly, you have to reach Tiun from Kullu via Lugvalley Road which takes around 3-4 hours. Then the journey of the Dehnasar begins. It is a difficult trek which takes around 2-3 days to reach there. You can go there from the months of April to October during the summer season. There is heavy snowfall in winter during which the trek becomes extremely dangerous.
Via Barot valley: The trek through Barot Valley is an easy trek. You can come back from there on the same day. You can take it to save time.
