Bhalyani is one of the most incredible and beautiful places in Lugvalley of district Kullu. Bhalyani village is surrounded by the grandeur of forests, farms, gardens and mountains. The look of amazing nature can be seen from here.
Festivals and Celebrations
In the village’s centre is a grand temple of ‘Shri Katrusi Narayana’ (Lord Krishna) and a large playground where most local festivals occur. There is a festival known as ‘Faagli’ which takes place in February or March and another festival known as ‘Kahika’, which takes place in August every four years later. This festival lasts for three days.
Interestingly, the ‘Kahika’ festival involves ‘Shri Katrusi Narayana’ and three deities ‘Devta Veernath’, Devta Kshetrapal Thaan’ and ‘Devta Aadi Bramha’. It is celebrated with the divine culture, a very important part of the festival. The ‘Karkuni’ (employees of the gods) Pandits, Bhandari, Gur, Kaardar etc. play a very important role in this festival. All arrangements are made by these people.
